The Port of Virginia

The Port of Virginia approached our team with the challenge of transforming an extensive, highly complex website into a streamlined, intuitive, and user-friendly digital experience. Their existing site held a vast library of technical, regulatory, and operational content, and they needed a modern platform that could better serve customers, partners, and regulators while supporting the organization’s long-term growth.

I handled the UX/UI design for the redesign, beginning with a comprehensive wireframing and information architecture exercise to reorganize the site into a clearer, more accessible structure. From there, I designed a modern, scalable interface system that balanced clarity and professionalism with the flexibility needed to accommodate future expansion.

The updated website served as a polished, reliable front door for all external audiences—highlighting services, port capabilities, news, and operational updates in a more consumable way. After launch, we were tasked with extending the new design language to the Port’s Operations Portal, ensuring a cohesive user experience across both public-facing and internal digital environments.
